Biografía
Christian
Fernández Mirón (Madrid, 1984) se dedica a proyectos de arte, música y
educación. Compagina el trabajo individual con proyectos colaborativos como su
actividad en el colectivo ¡JA! y en el dúo artístico Miranda & Mirón,
equipo responsable del festival Reformance. También ha realizado proyectos de
arte sonoro y musicales con el grupo ELM, la orquesta de improvisación libre
FOCO o bajo su alias Sef, proyecto en solitario con el que investiga formatos y
canciones íntimas. Como docente, ha impartido diferentes talleres y asignaturas
en universidades y centros de arte.

Me interesa
el arte que que afecta positivamente la vida de las personas. Mis acciones
exploran la relación entre el artista y el espectador y cuestionan el papel de
cada uno, indagando en la forma en que pueden interactuar. Lo íntimo y lo
público, así como el trazado de puentes entre arte y sociedad, son mis mejores
herramientas para los diferentes ejercicios que busco explorar. Mediante
análisis y planificación en detalle, me sumerjo en situaciones de interacción
imprevisibles pero responsables: dejo el desarrollo en manos del azar sabiendo
que puede haber infinitos caminos, tantos como lecturas de un trabajo artístico
en un entorno real.
La propuesta
Así como la
mayor parte de mi trabajo pretende generar experiencias positivas de manera
inmediata y accesible, desde hace un tiempo busco explorar la incomodidad y la
violencia. La pelea será el primero de estos experimentos, una pieza
duracional que plantea una interacción total: el desarrollo queda en manos de
los espectadores-complices así como la experiencia y testimonio que se
generará. Dentro de un círculo trazado sobre el suelo del Kulturpalast,
permaneceré dispuesto a pelear con quien quiera entrar en la figura, activando
así la pieza. Brindaré un reflejo empático al acercamiento de quien decida
entrar, como un espejo humano. Quien no participe entrando, lo hará observando
la acción desde la seguridad del perímetro, testigos de la violencia o no
violencia generada por quienes hayan decidido activar la pieza. La inacción
también es una posibilidad, quedando el desarrollo y el interés de la obra en
manos del público. El artista no es, sin embargo, un elemento pasivo que tolera
las gracias y travesuras del público, sino una persona sensible y despierta que
responde en consecuencia a lo que se le plantea. Al igual que en su predecesor El
beso, pieza en la que invitaba a la gente a compartir un beso -del tipo que
fuera-, La pelea es un ejercicio de responsabilidad y experimentación
entre personas conscientes de las reglas.

Christian Fernández Mirón (Madrid, 1984) works in the fields of art, music and education.
He combines his individual work with collaborative projects like his activities in the collective ¡JA! and the artistic duo Miranda & Mirón, team responsible for the recycled performance festival REFORMANCE. He has also made sound art and musical projects with the band ELM, free improvisation orchestra FOCO, the contemporary opera TODOS CANÍBALES or under his alias SEF, solo project in which he investigates intimate formats and songs. As a teacher, he has taught different workshops and classes in universities and art centers.
STATEMENT
I am interested in art affecting peoples lives, ultimately in a positive way. My actions
explore the relationship between the artist and the spectator questioning the role of each
one, exploring the ways in which they can interact. That which is intimate and that which
is public, as well as building bridges between art and society, are my main fascinations
in these exercises. Through analysis and planification, I seek to submerge myself in
situations of unpredictable yet responsible interaction: allowing random development
knowing there may be infinite paths, as many as ways of reading an artistic work in a real
world environment.
PROJECT: BETWEEN YOU AND ME
After THE KISS, a series of variations around the significance and transcendence of this supposedly romantic gesture, I wish to continue exploring relations with the audience through the residency in Kulturpalast. From trust to skepticism, deep to superficial, I hope to engage the immediate possibility of empathy. A relationship between individuals can give way to endless interactions and experiences, and presenting everyday elements in a way that springs thought is my main objective. The artist can be present physically and socially, avoiding mannierisms and theatrics ot be exposed in the search for empathy.
Each person chooses their approach to a work of art, and I am interested in not being an artist-object or a submissive element but one side of a mirrored interaction that seeks mutual curiosity. Those present may decide if they wish to be a part of the piece or remain outside, spectators observing while events unfold...
